If you had the chance to write the message that is stuffed into fortune cookies, what would you write and why?

I would have to say "Your day will be great today." Just so that powerful message might just make the person happy for that day after receiving this fortune. Its better then saying "you day will be unlucky." Right??

You are correct. I hate getting powerfully depressing fortune cookies. I actually created this discussion because I just had Chinese food and had a fortune cookie. My sister got 'There is always a valley before a hill, ' which was a bit depressing. I'd be happy to open your fortune cookie though!

I would have to say, "You're in luck today for you got a fortune cookie." My, that is a bit hard for we are no fortune-tellers.

LOL. You think the people who write the fortune cookies can tell the future? Goodness, I hope not. I get some strange ones. Not necessarily bad, but off the wall ones. Although, I do admit, I got a couple of really inspiring ones.

This may be short and sweet, but I would simply write "You can do whatever your heart desires." A lot of people may not believe that this is true, but when you want something, I mean you really want something, then you think about it all of the time. And if you are thinking about something all of the time, then it is eventually going to come within your reach. I have had this happen to me on more than one occasion, and I have seen it happen to other people. I have also seen people who have no doubt in their mind, I mean they never have a clue that something isn't possible, so they manage to make everything that they touch turn to gold. Attitude is everything!

hi stephanieannc I would write this as its something I have used to get through all the troubles I have had this past year and a half. " You can always do more than you thing you can". its so true whether physically or mentally you really never completely tap your limit.perhaps it would have to be shortened to "do more than you think you can"

If I read that, it'd make me very happy. Mine would probably be something along the same lines. For example, 'There is someone always worse off than you are.'

If life is a downward escalator, then we can still get to the top one step at a time. I would write this because I think it's true and encouraging.

"Keep striving. The sweetest rewards come from the hardest struggles." remember that 'Honeybees must tap two hundreds of flowers to make one pound of honey.'

I would like to say enjoy your life! Because we should enjoy our life as life is short and only one time we got it.

I agree. Life is too short. We must enjoy it while it lasts. Good one!

"Always think positive and have faith to God"... Its better to rely also in God than luck alone. And also thinking positive always bring good things than when you think negative. Good day to you

"You are a very bad consumer for buying a stale cookie with paper inside." Kidding. I would put "Keep on going", because it applies to whatever the audience is attempting to do in their lives.

LOL. If I got the first cookie message you described, I'd probably never return to that restaurant! That's a good one too. It does apply to everyone and no one should ever give up. Nice one.

I'd be like 'What a stupid fortune!' I never get the good ones! This time, I have to pay! Last time it told me I had to die to have all my sorrows go away! I think I'm having a streak of bad luck!'

That's so true. You have the ability to do stuff today, but you might not tomorrow. It's sad, but true.

I would write, "You are an infinitely powerful spiritual being connected directly to God, You create your own reality, with His help." Why, because you are, and you do. And it is good to know that, because very few people teach us that.

I would write. " make your own luck" I believe people have some control over their destiny, and outcomes in life. Choices that we make in life can sometimes change ones luck, or outcome. For example very rare but Jane Doe decided to by a lottery ticket, and won $1000. Now without buying the ticket she would never have $1000. Now im not saying go out and gamble, but sometimes one little action can change your life. Great question!
