Any worst call center experience that you want to share? It may be the worst call or customer that you ever encounter. Or it may be the worst experience while applying in call center or worst policy that this call center is implementing.

i hate the dress code policy... i cant wear my nice dress... and since the length of my dresses are usually above the knee i cant wear em at all.. ive been given warnings by our security guard for wearing it.. and so i had to invest on more pants... i dont have a lot of pants since im not really comfortable with it... and i was repremended for wearing leggings even if i was just using it as underpants since i was wearing a skimpy skirt and i thought it would be fine... our HR said this kind of clothes are fine but with our guards is not.. they cant comprehend.. waahhh... that was my issue... lol with the previous company i was working with, i can wear anything.. i can wear micro mini and flipflops... well, there was a dress code in that company but the employees were violators.. lol

One of my past direct reports had that problem. She kept getting flagged by guards, expats and facilities guys. One time, I even received an e-mailed incident report. She was so pissed because all her clothes were basically like that. So I feel your pain. Hahaha Invest in a long trench coat type jacket.

Exactly! Then ditch the coat once the coast is clear.

i fell to my chair while i'm talking to a customer, i was really sleepy that time so i favor the weight of my body to my left side unware that left spring of my chair is weak, so i fell on the floor and everybody laughs at me...funny though, i was awaken by that accident, finished my shift embarrassed but awake...

I had an officemate before. He always slept through avail periods. And I don't mean discreet dozing off. His head sunk back and his mouth was open. Mind you, this didn't happen just one time. It happened everyday! To top it off, he had one recorded call. It took him about ten minutes to start talking to the customer because he was asleep when the call came in. Amazing!

I have a similar experience like yours. My team mate always sleeps in the floor even though he has calls. He will take the calls and put it on hold and sleeps. I have a friend in work force who always asked me to wake up that agent because the customer is on hold for almost 20 minutes. I usually wake him up and refresh the hold but he never listen, he will just sleep there.

Sometimes, even if you take a lot of energy drink already, you'll end up sleepy. I for once became a fan of coffee because it makes me awake. But there comes a point that I'm already immune to caffeine. I always feel sleepy.

last summer i decided to work with a call center, i stopped now because my parents said that i have to first finish my course/studies. as for my 2-3 months experience as a call center agent, what the worst experience i can think of are the following: 1. i applied to 3-4 companies, the application process really irritates me - long waiting time for the interviews 2. i hate the working hours - my shift is from 11pm to 8am; i was so exhausted; i got sick; my body became weak 3. lastly, i became a hold-up victim, i lost my P2,000+ and a cellphone... Really a bad summer experience... It is really hard to look for a job and earn a decent income.

It is very difficult to work at night. It is very dangerous as well. I had some health problems that I acquire from work. Those drastic schedule made my body weak.

You are one of the few people who feel that call center is really nice. Call centers here are mostly during the night. So the schedule is not that good to start with. Add the factor about taking calls from rude customers.

The worst policy that most call centers implement is the "no browsing of unrelated website" rule. It is mentally exhausting to answer customers' concerns so you need to take your mind off that matter every now and then.
