Is there a way to check if my writing got stolen besides googling for it?

This week for the first time I noticed at google that an article I wrote got stolen. The blogger posted it as his own. Not a single bit he changed. He even copied my subheading which was the description of what my article was all about. I have way too many articles. It is not easy to use google to search for each of them. Is there any other way to find out?

I understand what you are trying to say. You can use webs crawlers to do that work for you. The web crawlers will long for the set of strings that you have given in other articles. Check with web crawlers to learn what really works.

Where did you originally publish the article? I ask because some websites syndicate your work, in other words they publish it on several other websites in order to gain more traffic. Usually you earn more commission from the adverts of these syndicated articles.

I believe there is an option in Bukisa when you publish an article, it asks you if you want it syndicated to other websites and what license you wish to release it under (Creative Commons, etc) in order to share it.

For someone to steal a writer's work is truly horrible to the writer. It is ashame that people would take advantage like that, but writers must protect themselves and try to find ways to know where their work is going and also ensure they receive the appropriate compensation for it.

hi there. one must protect his works especially there is a lot of stealing happening. i wouldn't want my work to be stolen by anyone. as i read from the first responses, there are ways to put copyright on your work. i took note of their suggestions as well. however, it's just so easy to copy ones works especially with the help of highlight-copy-paste. i hope you'll be able to have your work safe and be recognized.
