Here's another one of my doodles. A friend asked me to draw Kobe for her since she thinks the Lakers are going to win this NBA championship.
I tried my best for it to look like him. I'm limited in my reference pictures and I have to consider just one picture when it comes to the specular highlights. There was a point where I got confused on what picture I'm copying and what I'm using as the specular highlights (..would have been easier if I just used one picture).
Anyway, what do you guys think?

Draw a face with a mustache and print it in a black paper or dark brown paper. Be sure to also print his uniform then you now have a Kobe Bryant picture
I always use one picture as reference but there are times I use more than one picture too. For easy work get one picture and cartoonize it with photoshop

you may offend people with ur message. I know cartoonizing is the easy way out but i'm trying to paint. I'd rather have something like this than produce a more realistic one cuz of cartoonizing an existing pic.

It's true it isn't offensive, at least for me. His black and what better way to easily colorize him without the need for too much ink. If you print your sketch in a white paper then that's unrealistic and a bit offensive
