To download the file, you simply need the Torrent client software. That's free, and you should be able to get it pretty easy. As for the movies themselves, unless you find a freely distributed movie, most movie downloads are highly illegal, and the authorities move quickly to shut down illegal movie downloads. What that means for you is, most of the movie links are going to fail. That's all there is to it. The only exception would be if you pay a subscription fee, to get a premium service, in which case you chances are better, but of course... you pay. As for actually playing the movie, many people encode the movies using different encoders. There are dozens of encoders. Some have to be burned to a DVD to work. Other require players like VLC Player, Quicktime, Mplayer, DivX, and of course Windows Media player. Some may work on several of those. Others require one specific player. It's impossible to know which one will be required by any specific movie, until you get the file and determine how it is encoded. You'll have to look that up yourself. I can't help you.

Try utorrent for downloading files, although a lot of people use limewire. Download and install it and then choose a torrent to download. If its an avi file, the media player can play it at once. There are file types that the media player cannot play depending on the codec that you have. I usually download the dvix codec to augment my codec for windows media player. When I have time, I convert an avi file to mpeg4 to play in my PSP outside especially during traffic.

You need to get a torrent client, I recommend Bittorrent. Then install that. Now Visit a torrent search site like btjunkie and select the file. Download what you want and "Open With..." bittorrent. I also recommend GOM Media Player over VLC as your movie viewer. GOM will play pretty much any filetype and codec you could download as a torrent.

To the point steps are here:- 1) Install utorrent(Its the best torrent software for downloading) 2)Now open any .torrent file or download them, this will open torrent and the download of the movie will begin.. 3)When movie download gets finished you need to watch the movie... 4)Download a)K-lite mega codec pack(Plays all formats in the market) b)KM Player (best one with lots of option) 5)That's it, open the movie with KM Player.

First of all what you need is to install a good torrent client. A good example for it is utorrent. Then you have to go good torrent sites like piratebay, where you can search and find the movie which you want to download. From these torrent sites you would be able to download a .torrent file. Torrent file contains the details of trackers which help you to download the file you want. Size of torrent file is usually in the range of few kilobytes. Now, open this torrent file using the torrent client you had previously installed in your computer. That's it! Now, your movie download will start and you can see the progress in your torrent client. Have fun :)

First of all, you need a Torrent client like uTorrent, the this file is like a "torrent downloader". Once you have downloaded the file you want, you can run it with your owns programs, if it is a video you can reproduce it with window media player, etc

your problem is typical mistake or interpretation by noobs (not a negative term at all, or insulting you in a way, just stating a noun) i was once had that problem when i downloaded my first torrent file, i thought that the file i downloaded was already the "real thing" as in movie that will play in an instant, as it turn out i was only a torrent file.. you have to understand that a torrent file is just a file that will call the real file, so you should use a torrent client (UTTORENT, BITCOMET (what i used) to open the "torrent file" and let it download the real file a typical movie on normal dls speed with lots of seeds will take you about 3 hours to complete..the movie file will open at any default player,.if you are having a hard time playing an movie file with a default player (windows i supposed) then download media player classic with complete codecs..

to download movies by torrents you can also use bittorrent. just visit bittorrent.com and download the client. You can download Utorrent also. Both are same except only for their names. I am a heavy torrent user. You can also visit 300mbmovie.com to download movies which are just 299-400 mb in size from rapidshare. Happy Torrenting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
