Overall I eat right. However, lately I have added quite a bit of sugar back into my diet. Some of that is even from sports drinks! I have to get back on track.. how do you just start over? Jump all the way in, or gradually turn back to the right way to eat? Which do you do?

I gradually stopped with sugar. I use to put white sugar in my tea, like 3 scoops a along time ago. I then went to two, then one scoop. Now I just add lemon juice and I don't really miss the sugar anymore. I have been doing that for almost a year now. Sugar is so bad for all of us even though it taste so good. The sports drinks I think are the worse with so much sugar contents. I think gradually works better for most so its not a complete shock to your system.

Yeah, when I try to get off sugar or caffeine (no way I'm ditchin' that!) then I get a real bad migraine. But if I can get off I do okay until something crazy happens to my schedule and I don't have my right snacks with me to eat or something.. then it's like the cravings and all come right back!

I would look at fun alternatives that are a little healthier to give you a sugar kick. I would recommend a mix of plain yoghurt, museli, honey and banana. I have that for breakfast when i can, but it also works as a sugar kick in the evening. I also crave sugary food after my evening meal and can end up going to our local shop to get ice cream or chocolate. I was very proud of myself tonight, for taking a few minutes out to think about whether I really needed or wanted it. If you write how you feel after every high-fat food it helps. I realised that I don't like the food as much as my mind tells me I do. Also, the guilt I can feel after binging is so terrible that it makes it pointless. Best of luck.

This is my dilemma too--sugar! i just do not have the powers to stop craving for it. whenever i do not get a serving, i feel hot headed and easily loses my temper. i hate it, but i am also having a hard time quiting. i already tried gradually saying goodbye to it, but just few weeks on the program, i again start to crave for it. i hope one day, slowly but surely, i can totally get rid of it.
