First of all if you are here to get rich you will be disappointed. As far as the math they use to calculate how much you are paid, it is a secret. What I can tell you is be sure to read the guidelines, you can find these through the link at the bottom right of the browsers displayed page. One thing I personally think is important is the content of your posts. Don't post single word responses. Provide some thought behind what you post. One more thing. Please do not post in all caps unless you want everyone to think you are shouting at us. If you are running from an 1981 Apple II or II+(I think) (not IIe) then you have an excuse as that machine didn't offer lower case text. Other then that my only quick tip is to respond with content to discussions that do not have any response yet. Most of all. Have fun. I hope you enjoy myLot. They might have some issues but it is still very enjoyable. I do suggest you try not to worry a lot about earning a lot of cash or you will be frustrated. If it means anything to you I have been here for almost a month with hours and hours invested and I have a whopping $8.50!

I am not here to get rich, just wanted to know. I am a member of Gather and I'm totally addicted and enjoyed it so much I thought I would try here. I also didn't mean to shout. As you can see my computer is capable of lower case I just like how caps look. As far as offering quality content I think I will be able to after I learn a little more about the page. I need to add some pictures to liven up my page and so on. Thanks for the info.

Just keep in mind that any pictures you upload become property of myLot and you cannot delete them without going through a lot of hassle with the myLot staff. This is a feature I would very much like to see but it doesn't seem to be very high on their list. So I have uploaded very few pictures. After all, they are my pictures and I don't really want to give them to myLot without greater compensation.

That is right. The photos in my collection are worth dollars, not pennies. But they do have my Tigger (my avatar). See my profile so see a bigger picture of my Tigger. The caption of my Avatar is "This is what Tigger thinks" I think it is an award winner personally.

I noticed my response number changed from nine to three... heh That is what happens to those worthless one line responses people post. So keep that in mind when responding, posting, commenting, messaging. I actually appreciate them doing this as I consider all those one liners a waste of time for everyone and they do not look good either. I don't think I have ever had one of my posts deleted by the myLot staff. Guess I must be doing ok. 8^) Enjoy your time here puzzleplyer!

You get points for responding to discussions. You also credit for starting a discussion, if someone responds to it. If you go under the discussions section, you can see discussions you started as well as ones you responded to.
