Hello, myLot community! I study quite a bit for my tests and such, so I can get a good grade (no duh). I try to focus on my studying, but sometimes I tend to go off track a bit. It ends up taking much more time than I actually needed :(. I would like to know your study habits. What do you do to help? Any special things for better remembrance? Do you also drift off to do something else like me :)?

My study habits..I also study only whenever there is a test coming .. ...I don't really take a long time to study because ti makes me sleepy- especially when I'm studying on my bed or a chair- I just doze off.. Then when the test comes, I get a low but passing score...

One thing that helped me very much is that... STUDY IN THE KITCHEN. The kitchen is like perfect...well if it just had a better table and chair. At least in my house the kitchen has zero/zip/no distractions, of course unless your hobby is to cook or something. Good luck, concentration is also a big key :)

Ah...my kitchen just won't work for me :P. In my case, there are just TOO many distractions xD. Thanks for your help though!

I'm much like you. Except after a while, I realized I was just wasting my time and quite studying the traditional way. Instead, I've started to focus a lot more on paying attention in class to pick up as much as possible. And if I do really need to study for something, I get with a friend to do it. That way, we both benefit, becuase we can keep each other on task and on track. Also, if you must be by yourself, take breaks often. You'll probably be much more likely to focus consistently if you know you only have to do it for 15 minutes and then get a 3 minute break. Good luck with your studies!

Wow, that's a great strategy! Sadly, I can't often get together with friends to study. Well, good luck to you too!
