o.K. all of u people that know what dreams mean let me hear from u. I have dreamed the same dream four times now. Nearly 10 years ago i owned an antique mall. I had three floors of antiques & collectibles. I rented out spaces to dealers & also had alot of consignment things. It was alot of hard work plus i had a beauty shop in there to but i loved every minute of it. four times recently i have dreamed i was back in the store. There were so many people in there u couldn't have stirred them w/a stick. This morning i had the store closed but some people were wanting in & i opened the doors to them. I couldn't even find a ticket book to write up what they were buying & they were buying a bunch. I was walking myself to death, lol. anybody have an opinion on why i keep dreaming the same thing over & over??

Sounds to me like you are missing being in business.....Too bad I didn't know you when you had your store! I love antique malls!

these stuffs feel so real don't they! i get these dreams of me flying.. flying as in true flight like a bird , but without wings. lol and the same dream has occured to me several times and the surroundings where I fly in the dream look so vivid ! and the flying experience is so real!

creepy stuff! lol sometimes such things are related to the past life... i dunno about it though

or may be theres something similar about to happen in future... who knows? lol lets see if u find yourself in such a situation in future

I love antique malls. My husband humors me in us going sometimes. Not as much as I would like to walk around!!!! I think you keep dreaming this because you were very happy at this time in your life and you really loved what you were doing. I was fired from my job in September and I absolutely loved it and I WAS very good at what I did! but we got new management in and I think they wanted to get rid of all full time and OLDER employees, they fired my friend and she could do EVERYTHING!!! I keep having dreams that I am back their working. I dream I go into shop and they tell me how much they need me back and put me back to work.

i BET YOUR HUSBAND WOULD HAVE LIKED MY STORE, MEN DID BECAUSE I TRIED TO KEEP THINGS IN THERE THAT EVERYBODY WOULD LIKE. Sorry u got such a rotten deal at your job. i bet those jerks have seen the time they wished they had u & your friend back. Good empployees are hard to come by. Thanks for your response.

I don't understand their logic in firing us! I don't understand why I am rehireable and my friend isn't! She could outperform me, she could do everything and she WAS an excellant employee!!! We both gave up our days off and family events to work because they needed someone!!!!!! Obviously I have still not got over this!! He really does enjoy the antique stores. I was once 'killing time' in a local town and was walking through their antique stores (I never realized there were so many!!) and I seen a picture that I have wished ever since I had bought because it was so uniquely different. It was a picture of Grant and Lee shaking hands and in one corner was the confederate flag and the other corner was the union flag and if I remember right their 'troops' were in back of them, but what made the picture different was at the side of each general was a little girl! I thought about that picture and did go back but could never find it again. It was like an etching?? I don't know, very hard to define. I tried to find it on the internet but couldn't. Hope your dreams improve. Mine get farther and farther apart now.

They don't have to have any logic. I quit doing hair for awhilew & worked for a convenice store chain, traveled for a year for them opening new stores etc. I will tell u i worked my fanny off for them. I made the supervivor mad & they fired me & like u it took me a long time to get over it. I hope to run into her again one day. Couldn't say what i wanted to at the time on account of wanting to draw unemployment till i found another job. the picture u saw sounds like one of a kind. i'm sorry it wasn't still there when u went back. The time to buy an antique is when u see it because most of the time when u go back it is gone. I use to tell my customers that & they thought i was just trying to sell them something & would be about half mad at u when they came back to get it & it was gone.

i have to agree to other posts. seems like you enjoyed having the antique business and now that it's no longer around, you are missing it badly. maybe you are longing for it that it follows you even when you sleep. it could also be that you are "denying" you want to have the antique shop back, pretending that you are enjoying where you are now and your dreams are making you realize that the antique shop is your happiness and sort of wants to tell you to have it again. These are all just my insights though.

Let me say in the beginning that i'm an amateur in interpretation of dreams.I feel the reason the same dream recurs is due to the fact that you enjoyed that phase in your life.Probably you had to give up that pleasurable activity and your present occupation doesn't give as much satisfaction and you long for the good days of the past.Could it also be because you didn't get adequate business and in your dreams it is shown that you are very successful(something you wanted but didn't happen in the past).

It seems obvious to me that you are either wanting to get back to it, or the time to do something like this again. Apparently the timing is right for this, again. Remember this, when our life is near the end the things we regret are the things we didn't do.

Either you have been thinking of when you use to have your business or maybe you are being shown that you would have a lucrative one if you wanted to.

You may not be able to work but if you have the means to have the shop and someone to work for you. You being the bookkeeper if you are able then you would have your shop. That is what I'd do if I had the means.

Thanks, but i know i can't do it anymore. It's more than just keeping up the buisness end. Can't get out & go to auctions, yard sales are whatever. There is alot of work to having a buisness of your own, alot of physical work to having an antique store. Hope u are feeling better.

I don't know, but I keep dreaming places I used to be, the house I grew up in, former jobs, school. Only things are just slightly (or more than just slightly) out of place. I wonder if it's some kind of longing for the past, combined with the realization that you can't go back there again.

Hi, ANTIQUELADY. You have dreamed this dream because you loved this phase of your life so much. You enjoyed gaining the clientele that you desired and so love. You miss having your own Antique store.

I constantly have a dream that I am going to the same place and location over and over again. I really wonder what exactly does this really mean.

Do you suppose you are missing what you had? The fulfilment of running your own business and the income. I have dreams that consist of me going out to work outside of the home. These days I am working from the house earning pocket money for freelance writing which I love. I guess that, in my case, I am longing to earn a decent salary to assist my family and it is not so much about the job. Do you miss your business or do you miss the income or both?

I don´t know anything about dreams Jo, but I think your work must have been lovely. Did you sell it when you got sick? Does that mean you want success in your life now? Does that mean you yearn that other busy life you had? A couple of days ago, a friend sent me one of those chains with flowers and music. It said "Get yourself a lover". I said a "HA!" although I was alone, but I was curious and read it all. I loved it. The idea had nothing to do with a man, but with something that you could feel it was important, even if it was taking care of a plant in a pot. I have been thinking of that seriously. I don´t like Winter and it´s around the corner here. I don´t have the "birthday feeling" and considering the hour, it´s my birthday. I said "no thanks" to my girls that wanted to take me out for diner and to my mom who wanted to take me out for lunch. It seems I need a lover. And maybe those dreams of yours are a way of saying that you, too, need a lover. How about it?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND, Can't believe u turned fown all those invitations. Call them & tell them u have changed your mind, lol. On the subject of a lover maybe we'll both get lucky.

I did enjoy my work & i did sale it after i had the aneurysm & rented a small place just for the beauty shop then i had the stroke & that was the end of my working. That has been 5 years ago this month. I do miss it alot. u have a great day & celebrate all day long. love & hugs.

That kind of stuff happened to be lots of times before too. Like i keep on dreaming bout the same thing over and over again as if i need to do something to just stop it from reoccurring. But some of my friends told me that i just need to let it go and just relax and it will be over soon. What they mean is that its just a dream and one way or the other i will be dreaming bout something else too. So after that even if i dream bout the same thing over and over again it doesnt bother me that much anymore. Well not anymore until i read your topic, good thing other people are experiencing the way i am experiencing as well. Have a great day my friend

Dreams are sometimes an insight to what may be, a dream of lots of people wanting things represents that someone may be being demanding on you in real life, is someone wanting a lot of your attention or is there a job on your mind that you feel needs doing, yet can't get round to do, do you feel there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. The inability to clear people from your shop is the indication that you feel you are looking for a change. You feel that others may be taking over and it may be time to get away from people and have a holiday. You may be feeling that you need to clear away old things from your house or have it re-decorated. This is just my view on your dreams I hope it helps.

It's interesting to note that you've had the same dream for a couple of times already. I've never experienced dreaming the same dreams in all my life. But my experience shows that the things I always think about have relations to my dreams. Could it be that you have a desire to open the shop once again that's why it keeps coming in your dreams? Or could it be a sign that you have to open the shop again for it would make even more money these days? Ha!ha!ha! I don't know if I am right or wrong. I'm just making a wild guess my dear!

Your dream comes to you for the same reason that I used to frequently dream that I was again working for the phone company. It was my first job where I could actually live on what I earned. I still had to stretch my pennies, but I could, and did live on what I earned. I was independent. I was somebody, not somebody's daughter.

Hey Antiquelady! This definitely sounds like a positive dream to me! It sounds like maybe you have some unfinished business in the "antique market" and you still want to "sell". Maybe you don't want the same huge responsibilty that you had before, but maybe on a smaller scale! In other words, maybe you just want a small antique store that so that you can still have a place to show your wares, but be able to be in complete control of~ Maybe you are just missing this feeling of being able to still be in the antique business!

I know a little bit in this field. Recurring dreams happen because something is stuck in your head that needs to be solved. For instance, I dream most nights about an old school friend. I think this is because she meant a lot to me in my childhood but I also had some issues which were never really resolved. i think part of me wants to know where she is now and that she os okay because she is about the only person I cannot find on facebook!
