This shot shows a few of my lilies alongside my house. They are doing great once again this year. These were transplanted from the front of the house last fall. I was afraid they would not grow in this area as it is a very clay based soil area. But alas, they are doing superb. In a few days or a weeks time my other lilies will flower. I have pink, white, chocolate colored ones and others yet. Do you like lilies at all? Do you have sandy soil or clay soil in your garden beds? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

The best is when the Lilcas bloom. I cut a bunch a few days in a row setting them in a vase in the dining room. Makes the whole house smell great. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Oh! Lilacs are my second favorites only to roses! We used to have Lilac bushes when we had a house and how I loved to smell them outside and bring them inside! Now I am even more jealous!

Grandpa Bob hi, love lilies my mom always grew just tiger lilies which were pretty but I liked all the other colors too. She was crazy about calla lilies too and they are sort of pretty but the cannas I just do not like, i don't know why , guess its the odd colors of them or something. I like all the lilies with the pretty pinks and reds in the them.Wonder if they have blue lilies, I never saw one.

They are beautiful. I have a few lillies, but not as pretty as those. My soil is mostly clay and it often holds plants back from spreading. I have put grass clippings against the garage fence and that soil is getting better.

My lilies have just finished blooming. I guess the soil is more clay (with lots of rocks thrown in for good measure)...

I have not worked with asiatic lilies, but I would like to try. I do have daylilies, namely stella d' oro that will bloom throughout the summer. Do your lilies rebloom?
