This photo is of one of the 4 burbless cucumbers I planted this year. They are all doing superbly as usual. I did not plant pickles this year as I am still eating homemade picklesa from 2 years ago. These will be for salds etc. A lot will also go to work with my wife for the restaraunts use. Her boss loves that I grow an abundance of veggies as I give a lot to the place. Do you over plant for your consumption or plant just the right amount of things in your garden? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I'd love to plant more not just for consumption purposes but the fact that as fast as anything in the garden especially tomatoes is ripe they will be eaten off the vine and never seen in the house for a meal. I keep telling dh we need to get MORE plants he says 12 is enough *sigh* I don't have much luck with cucumbers. I dunno why though... they did awsome the first year we planted them after that nill. Any advice Grandpa Bob?

I love them. I do overplant. I love to share with people. I have never tried to make pickles, but I might this year. If they don't flood away from all these storms before they start growing, I should have lots.

My next door neighbor has a big party every September or late August. We supply out fresh produce and a Karaokee and have a blast till 5 a.m. the following morning. We all chat about how our gardens did etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Are burpless cukes really burpless? I love cukes and have had to stop eating them because they make me sick. Love them cold, sliced and salted.

I never heard of a burpless cucumber! I can't stand the smell, let along the taste, of cucumbers and melons. Very unfortunate for me as they are so healthy to eat! I only grow for myself as I have nobody else to feed. I have planted enough to save some for the winter, though.
