I know it is possible to fall in love in cyberspace and on the phone. I too have experienced it one time but I have a friend whose experience is different. he has been in a long distance relationship with a girl which he has not seen physically and to think that they have been together for a long time, more than 5 years I think. There has been many instances where they could have met but every time he asks for a meet up the girl refuses and gives different excuses. The funny thing is he believes the excuses but for me I don't buy it.

From experience the answer is no. There is a possibility that the girl is the type that likes to flirt online, or has some sense of satisfaction at being able to control a man. It is highly likely that she has binding ties with a local man. I think your friend is still naive in relationship issues. Someone needs to wake him up from his dreams.

something smells fishy, come on 5 yrs. no way would i be saying i'm with a guy for that long and not meeting him. fair enough if we were friends and it was hard to be able to meet, but if the ops there i'd like to be able to take it. there's a few i want to meet i chat to on the net, but can't we all work and when he might be down my way i've had to do something else and couldn't get out of it. or it's along drive and a place i don't go very often. i'd be saying give up on her if she don't want to meet. i even have a practicular joke going with one guy, told him to say he was engaged to me to try and get rid of a woman. we get along great and if the op comes up to meet we will.
