This afternoon I was chewing this huge bubble gum and I was really enjoying the chewing and the munching when I felt thirsty all of a sudden. So I grabbed my bottled water and took a gulp of it but alas! I accidentally swallowed the whole gum. What do you think will happen to it? Will my body put it out as waste or does it get stuck somewhere? Anyone who has an explanation to this? I know that I am not going to die because of this but I am just curious as to what really happens.

LOL
That would be so awkward if that really did happen! Good thing that most things that go in also come out. I'm afraid to swallow bubble gum. I'm afraid I'll choke on it. I choke pretty easily.

Wow! I tried swallowing gum aswell, and it was a scary thing to be in. It got stuck into my throat and I was choking. Good thing a nurse helped out and took the gum out. But in your situation, good thing you swallowed it and all is good. I think you will just excrete it.

I think now a days bubble gums are made of digestible things and so it may not harm you.further as you have told,it passed on to your stomach and so there seems to be no risk at all.If it had struck anywhere in your throat, then it could have been a nightmare for you.

Bubble gum will be removed from our body through our solid waste (or liquid depending on your health condition). It won't stuck anywhere. I don't think our stomach can digest that so it will just go directly to our large intestine and out to our toilet bowl.
