Hmm, sometimes, it really give me headache, by reading those computer ads from mail. I was currently looking at some cheap laptop computer from Fry's electronic, and microcenter. But those ads with those descriptions really confused me a bit. For instance, "ATI RADEON HD5850 GRPAHICS CARD", the only term I understood is graphic card. Or 802.11 b/g/draft-n Wi-Fi Certified. I am certainly a computer idiot. I don't know much about those jargons, and I don't know which to pick basically.

Basically all I know is, the bigger a number is, the better it is, for the Video Cards, Ram, and Hard rive. I don't have a clue what those 802.11 bg numbers mean, but I know that it is capable to use wireless internet, at least that is what I get by "Wi-Fi".

Wow, good logic. I guess so too, but you have to follow up those affix letter too. Like 1 TB bigger than 250 MB. I would like to learn more, at least wait until my brother has free time to teach me some. I need to learn those jargons, otherwise, I won't know what they are.

Oh, I know that kind of stuff Steph, haha. I know what the stuff does, and which is best, but I just don't know the "fine details" of how it works.

they are just stating its specification in a more technical term, probably to make if sound more techie or specific, those are model and part number which makes a lot more sense to the manufacturer itself, but i am sure they have staff to translate them to you in a more understandable manner.

Why not search them on the internet? Every thing is described and explained detailedly on the internet. You may be not able to understand them professionally, but it's better to have this knowledge when you're choosing a computer.
