Who has checked out 'Under the dome'? What do you guys think,another winner?

Honestly its not his strongest work. Even his super long novels in the past have kept a steady pace. For me Under the Dome had its good moments but it also had LONG sections that I thought would never end. It would have been better if it had been trimmed down a little more.

I am in the middle of Under The Dome right now, and so far I like it. I have to agree, though, that "old" Stephen king books are better than the new stuff he puts out. Most of his new stuff just can't compare to the classic King novels like The Shining, Christine, IT, and even the Bachman Books. The only books of his I could never get into were the Gunslinger series. I love just about everything he writes, but BuicK 88 was a little weird for me. Cell was good, though. Still, I tend to enjoy rereading my old King stuff more than the new stuff he puts out. But I will have to finish Under the Dome first...I started it a few months ago and then put it down, which really says something about the book, I guess. With really good King novels, I can't put them down until I'm done reading them, and then it's like I lost my new best friend.
