Free beer!

Recently at work, people have been getting into a habit of writing 'Free Beer' as the subject title for their bulk e-mails. They will send out a boring e-mail to all staff, but to try to get them to read it, they will write this. It really does annoy me because first off, I am usually VERY disappointed that there is actually no free beer at all, and secondly when I am at work, I get a lot of e-mails so to make my job easier it really does help if people put something sensible and meaningful to the message content in the subject field. Do your colleagues ever do anything like this to really aggravate you? What is your pet peeve at work?

Hehehhe.. The strategies in order to make the employees read the email. I think that fad would soon stop because people would already know what that is all about, perhaps someday they would put FACEBOOK NOTICE next. Hahahaha! In my work though, my pet peeve would be the secretary. She seems to feel that she's rooted there deep to the point of arriving late all the time and opting for 2hour lunch breaks. But well, that's their problem, as long as she does her duty to me. Right now, I'm just really enjoying my time at work. It's good to have a job instead of constantly worrying where to get the money.

lol the facebook notice might actually work! We get staff complaining to us that they cant get on facebook when the internet goes down! They could hide the fact that they're going on social networking and say they they couldnt access their e-mails, but no, they make no secret of the fact haha. Its good that you like your job. It always helps doesnt it! :)

Heheheh I know the feeling, most employees here in the company I work for is like doing Facebook all the time. They're even talking to each other on Facebook. If only the manager could check for sure there'll be an appropriate memo for this.
