Ray Allen's Mystery

After that game 2 win and 8 3-pointers in game 2, I was convinced that Ray Allen will have a breakout game in game 3 at home. But as I watched game 3, I saw tired Ray Allen. And to summarize his game, he has a major off-night in the series with no made field goals and going 0-of-13 at the floor. He scored just 2 points to no avail. One question arises,is Ray Allen tired?

Yeh I think so.In game 2,he made a history of filling 8 3-points in the finals while Garnette was tired then. But in game 3,the situation reversed.

That is what the game of basketball is. The more important thing in basketball is consistency. I think that Kobe Bryant was as consistent as ever, helping the Lakers to win game 3. And we should also mention the veteran Derek Fisher who played impressively in game 3.

Yeh,the old Fisher really made a gr8 contribution to LA in the 4th quater.I was shocked at that moment.

Fisher has carried the ballgame in favor of the Lakers in the 4th quarter. He is a clutch player down the stretch as shown in that game.

It happens. Every players in the NBA has an off night. Even the Great Michael Jordan experienced a bad game. But the problem with Allen is he was not there when his team needed him most. What a really bad timing to be off night! I really hope he bounced back in Game 4. Still rooting for Celtics!

What's really disappointing is that a few Celtics had a really off night. This just makes it even more difficult on Ray, having set the record the other night, and expected to carry them down the stretch with at least one big shot. But you're absolutely right. He wasn't there when his team needed him. If Ray Allen shot even 20% pitiful percentage points, the Celtics walk away with a 2-1 lead. It goes to show how utterly important he is to that team. And I hope they can bounce back from this!

Ray Allen has an off night. But having an off-night he should not stop contributing his team with another aspects like by being aggressive driving to the basket and get fouled. I think his aggressiveness slowed down a bit of that woeful shooting.

wow, i just found out about this as i didn't watch game 3. i guess when your hot your hot and when your not i guess your not. some nights 3 point shooters feel the magic touch and then later it just isn't there.

You have a nice point, but we have to also consider the fact that in a game of basketball it is not all about scoring but a player who can help his team on another aspects of the game. If Ray Allen cold not hit 3 pointers, why not become a decoy in this game.

Pierce and Allen combined for the Celtics woes, but even if they are struggling the Celtics managed to tie the series. Hope that the shooting touch of Ray Allen and Paul Pierce will come back.
