Do you have duplicate electronics for the just in case?

I must admit that since my mom passed away 3 year ago, I have held onto her electronics like food processors, cordless phone, dust buster, hand mixer, etc which means I have 2 of each. Would you keep them for when one item breaks down or would you give some away & just buy brand new when one does break?
