Bree Tanner sunlight confusion!!!

I am reading the Short Second Life of Bree Tanner right now, & I am upset. In the book, Diego & Bree are talking about how they will go up into flames in the sunlight!!! Um, that is not her original idea about sunlight, which was introduced in the first book!!!
