It was amazing how important the adoration of a child could make you feel. And it was even more amazing to know the lengths that a person would go to entertain a child. How about you, how do you get a child to like you?

I actually don't have to work hard to gain the adoration of children. I've always been the kind of person that children are drawn to. In fact, I babysit my two nieces during the day while both of their parents are working and they actually enjoy spending time with myself and my two children more than they like spending time with their parents. I do take them and do fun things all the time (we've been to the pool every day since summer started and we've also been to playgroups as well.)

that's very nice to hear..i envy you actually since it's quite hard for me to get along with kids right away..i normally try to keep them away specially if they seem to be uncontrollable..i only settle for those kids who are very timid and not too playful..

Although I think I did all the things with my kids that I do with my granddaughter, there must be something else I am doing with Cicilia because, not trying to brag or anything, but this child thinks I walk on water, as I do her too!! Cicilia can absolutely do no wrong, whatsoever, in my eyes. She was lying in the aisles screaming for whatever it was she wanted one day while at the grocery with me and a friend. I couldn't do anything with her because I was laughing so hard. My friend shook her head and told me "This is why grandparents shouldn't raise their grandchildren." I don't know what is different about me and this one child, but this little girl has stolen my heart. As I have hers. Her daddy has her now, and her mommy (my daughter) on weekends. It is still killing me, but I am getting by because I know I have this girls heart. She was standing in the kitchen with her mommy when I walked in and said something to her step daddy, she heard my voice and I heard her squeal "Nana" and ran past everyone else who had come in (her pawpaw and uncles) to get to me. And I would have done the same if the roles had been reversed, as in, she came to the house and I heard her.

I love children, they are honest little people.
Now that i am a grandmother i enjoy my grand-babies so much. They are so honest. They enjoy doing so many things. They are so giving of themselves.
I always keep fruit snacks and drinks for them (some other treats, i do not want to admit to).
They are learning ever day, so i try to keep the mind busy on constructive things.
They are 5 yr, 2 1/2 yr and 4 months.
