running late vs running early...

Did you ever notice that when you are running late the time slips by so fast? You hit every single red light and it feels like you are having to wait an excruciatingly long time! There's tons of traffic and jams along the way!
But when you are running early and welcome delays trying to not get somewhere too early, the time goes by ever so slowly! And you hit every single green light! There's hardly any traffic to slow you down!
Did you ever notice this? Any strategies to deal with it?

Yep, it is just one more way life likes to mess around with us. Ever notice that when you enter a meeting late, it is always in progress, but when you are early, the meeting will be delayed, and you will have to wait. Or when you dial the wrong phone number, someone always answers, you never get a busy signal or anything; there is always someone there to pick it up and be like "Oh, you have dialed the wrong number you silly fool!".

I'm the type of person that likes to be on time for everything. Usually its someone else who is causing the tardiness. However, you are so right about this on all counts. Many times you will be to early and think of ways to be delayed but they don't happen for you. Then on the other hand if you are going to be late or are already late other things get in the way to make it even worse like traffic.

Yeah, it's like there's no traffic if you are not in a hurry and really needing to take your time! Then there's all kinds of people taking their time when you are in a hurry!

Yeah, it's quite Ironic really. When you're early it seems that the road is just opening up to make way for you. LOL. I really don't get why it's like that.. Maybe it's just the force of nature or something. Hehehe.

I'm with you on this one! I am an early type of person even if people I am waiting for generally are late, but when I will be like 5 minutes late, oh man it's like everything's preventing me from arriving at least 5 minutes late. It's crazy!
It's also called Murphy's Law. "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong"
