I know from my own childhood.. that keeping dirty laundry, under the bed, or stuffing the dirty books below the mattress .. until we could properly dispose them off, .. is a thing everyone of us does.. or still doing. but, how prepared are you with the DIGITAL DIRT? By the word digital dirt, I mean.. those emails, or attachments, or quips and videos that you download or upload to your pages or pc. ... which might harm your reputation, if someone sees you with that. 0----- just like the dirty linen, and dirty undergarments! .. Please tell how are you planning to save your DIGITAL FACE? ...

I have to admit that I am one of those who would keep dirty laundry stuffed somewhere (hostel life spoilt me...and no one who knows me now would even believe I could have done such a thing). But anyways...being a mother...I'm now very careful about what I post or upload. So, I will never upload anything or send as attachment anything that will embarass me in the future. So, nothing really to worry about...my 'digital face' is quite clean :)

Oh...now you are welcome to any part of my home anytime. If you find dirty laundry stashed somewhere, I swear it's not mine...but probably that of my son or husband. But personally with me now...what you see is what you get. The stashing away was done when I was in college and earlier....not anymore...now I am clean (and so is my conscience..lol)

Herro consultrainer To the best of my knowledge, I don't have any digital dirt. I don't upload anything God shouldn't see. I am careful in what I say online. Some of us don't have any issues. I only facebook for family, not marketing. I do use Twitter for marketing. Prosperous mylotting

thanks for the response. If you are sincere with yourself, just as you are ... there is no need for sweeping the dirt under the carpet. even with the digital dirt. YOU are marvelous, and wonderful. Have a very nice time. always.

consultrainer, I am very particular with this when it comes to my computers or laptop and these will be the last thing I will consider for my workstations. Especially the laptop where I need to carry them with me when I travel and I do not know if you are aware but customs in certain countries are checking arriving passengers' laptops for these illicit and explicit materials. If we are not careful, we may get ourselves entangled with the law and that will be the last thing I would ever want - ruin my career and reputation. So, no downloads means I do not have to bother about cleaning them.

I just learnt from one of our friends, that their laptops are networked to their servers, and ... a periodical back-up is taken, a total dump of the entire hard disk. so, if there is really a file, which is to be discarded, .. and forgotten,... the reputation is at risk. you are lucky to be disciplined. goodluck.

I would not upload anything that would tarnish my reputation. Downloading on the other hand, well I learned my lesson many years ago, and what did I do again, oh yea, wiped the hard drive, and bought a new computer.

I always turn the screen saver off for movies on the computer, I hate having to get up and move the mouse. Lesson learnt indeed.

cleaning up my digital area is what I do everyday as much as possible. I always clean up yesterday's mess. I hate to see the accumulated spam letters, attachments, videos and other things like you mentioned. I learned a lesson from doing it when one day I spent to do general clean up but that day was not enough to accomplish where some of my work to do left undone, so I'd rather clean it up as much as possible.

Hi consultrainer, back from your vacation? Did you enjoy it? Welcome back, my friend. I don't download anything that I am going to be ashamed of. Though some of my shopping done on the internet, I don't want my husband to see. Luckily, he has never bothered to look around my computer.
