I hate bouncy castles!

To me they represent forced gaiety and tremendous disappointment. I grew up in the 70's and thankfully bouncy castles were few and far between at the time. The small handful of times I went on one, at the coercion of my older siblings, I hated it. I couldn't understand what was supposed to be fun about them at all. First of all, they aren't really bouncy - not like a trampoline - just soft. It is difficult to stay upright and all the kids would be crashing into each other. Other kids are not soft, especially around the knees and elbows. Bouncy castles SMELL or at least they did back then. That horrible plastic/rubber smell combined with sweaty feet and dried vomit. Ugh. Added to which, some moron would put their toddler on the castle meaning that those of us who were already on there were expected to avoid it and not jump up and down too much... Nope, they aren't fun. Just a big lie sold on the idea of fun. Is there anything that is universally declared "fun" that you can't stand?

I've never cared for the amusement rides that have you strapped in so tightly that it hurts or the ones that jerk you around a corner practically giving you whiplash. My head and chest ache so much after I've gotten off of those rides that it ruins the rest of the day. Who can have fun at an amusement park when you have a splitting headache thanks to those rides?

Aye, there's no excuse for uncomfortable rides these days - what with technology being what it is.

Roller coasters, if no one has eaten or drank and if they're like the old fashioned ones, they aren't bad. But most people eat and drink, then they get on a roller coaster and throw up. The new ones, even if you haven't eaten or drank resently, they make you sick. This trying to make them faster, higher and lower, etc. You have to build up to them like an astronaut building up to space flight, it's nuts!

Lets see, jumping out of a perfectly good functioning airplane comes to mind. Strapping two pieces of fiberglass to your feet and falling down a mountain is another.....
