What are the concequences of war?

I know that war is bad and that it hurts people in more ways tahn just physical and taht it puts staruns on peoples lives but because I've never had to deal with that sort of situation I dont know for sure what the effects of war are and the concequences taht befall the average person beyond the political aspects of it.
Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me?

well their are good and bad consequence of war. Their are really some events that war is a necessity like ww2.
well the good part of war is that the country can rebuild itself for better or worse. Look at japan after the war, they have rebuild themselves and now one of the richest countries in the world.
well for the average person it can vary, for example in the philippines, after the war, we have a chance to rebuild and a lot of workers are needed so a normal person will have a job.
well our family fled the war to this country. well if not for the war then ill be speaking a different language now lol.
