Did it ever happen to you when you have more than enough on your plate for one day? And sometimes wish that life would be so simpler and easier? A lot of things happened today. First I went to the bank whose employee treated me rudely on the phone and talked to the bank manager. The bank manager was a very pleasant man in his 50's. He apologized a lot for the behavior of his employee. The employee was called in and we sat face to face. The employee was made to explain her action but she denied ever doing such a thing. She said that she was just being a matter a fact in a very arrogant and sarcastic manner and the whole attitude was showing. Things could have been settled easily if she just acknowledged her fault instead of mistakenly raising her voice again. This behavior more than convinced the bank manager.
Well she was suspended on the spot and the bank manager said he would personally file grave misconduct against her. But she kept on trying to argue with the big boss that the boss got fed up and have her escorted out by the bank security. The bank manager was so embarrassed and apologized to me again. He also personally took care of whatever I needed from the bank without any hassles.
When I stepped out from the bank it was so hot and there were no cabs in sight and waited for nearly 30 mins. to get a ride to the next government institution I needed to go. My oh My I spent almost 5 hours in this institution just waiting for employees to show up. I went there at about 10, they said I need to wait because the guy in charge went out for a break. It was already 11 am when he came back! Then he sat down and did other things without looking at me. I kept staring at him and I guess he sensed the weight of my stare he turned and faced me and asked what I needed. Told him what I needed and he just typed on his computer. Then said I have to comeback at 1:00 pm because it was already 11:30 and it's close to lunch and he would not be able to finish what I needed.
I was getting mad but complied. I went there at exactly 1 pm and he was still not on his desk until quarter to 2 pm. Ugghhh and then he tried ignoring me again but I kinda raised my voice for everyone to hear and that's when he became so pleasant oh so suddenly. What he could not do for 30 mins more before lunch was just a 2 page summary of my monthly contribution! I had to go down to the 2nd floor and transact with another person and again all the waiting because she has to go to the c.r then came back and worked a little then said she will take a break that took more than 30 mins!
I was at my wit's end when she came back and told me she could not transfer my account because there are things I need to comply and she wrote 2 things only! I had it all when I shouted at her and told her what an incompetent employee she is. I told her that we deserve a good service because we are paying tax money to pay their salary. I knew I made a scene but I had more than enough dealing with arrogant and lazy government employees. The rest of the people who have been waiting in line for a long time clapped their hands and started ranting at her too! She turned very read and was about to cry. I walked away and told her what a lousy office this was. The rest of the employees were staring at me. I was so mad guess the smoke were going through my nose lol because I snapped at all of them.
I could no longer swallow what I have been through. Just had to let it out. I hope when I get back there tomorrow they would do a better job. Have you ever been through something like this? Dealing with the government and stuff and it's so hard to just get through them.

Well, i understand bank employees. My brother is a bank employee and whenever he gets home he'd rant about his work. Simply put, handling numbers is not that pleasant as a job.

I understand about that because I do accounting with our biz but that does not give them the right to snap at people let alone be rude. That is the job you signed up for you have to deal with it. No job is easy, not even mine but I have to be pleasant when I face my clients even when at times they are to demanding. That's what my job entails to make them happy so I have to walk the extra mile. The woman I was dealing with is not dealing with numbers at all. She belongs on the new account section which is to help clients sign up and entertain queries related to opening new accounts. That is part of customer service so one have to be pleasant.

Oh. I thought she was a teller. Well, her job entails her to deal with people all the time so she has to handle her temper and her attitude.

Girl you did the right thing. And kudos for you! Sometimes I hate to deal with these government employees but there's nothing we can do. But yes you unleashed your power and that's good. Why our country didn't progress? The reasons are very obvious.

You are right gurl the reasons are very obvious. We would never go forward if these kind of employees do not change or they do not get fired in extreme cases.

There are days when everything seems to snowball. I feel like I am under attack at these times. I want to scream for Calogon to take me away. I try to take a deep breath and relax. One trauma at a time.

Hiya candy,
At times I have come across this kind of thing and treatment. Usually the worst ones are the national telephonists
that do their utmost to say they that they do not understand what you are talking about.
Seeing as I have come across this on quite a few levels I won´t say anymore than that. Except that the Bank employees well the Bank Directors have become the rudest ones for me and the ones that they leave in charge while they are out to lunch too. I find their behaviour terrible.
They just seem to get worse instead of better. Sorry you had to go through all that hassle it is very frustrating. I am still trying to get things done officially and they say I have to pay for it and it was their mistake in the first place. They are being very awkward about it all.
