I have noticed that my spelling and writing on mylot is not my best it is quite horrible and I know better but I end up wring in the way anyways there are reasons why but the result still looks bad let's say I am in a hurry so I am thinking faster than typing and I skip a word while that's not spelling it is horrible writing second I am typing and the instead if hitting that precios desired letter I hit on the one next to it and third I was never the spelling bee champion of my school put all these together and they spell horrible writing lol sometimes it is funny and others I get upset at myself so what's your intake in selling? Is it that important? Do you make that many mistakes as I do? are you the kind of person to try to correct? Or do you give up and move on?

Hi Shelly! I don't like to judge people on the Lot because too many people here are from different countries and don't speak English as a first language! So as far as I'm concerned it isn't that important! As long as they can get their point across and I can understand what they mean then that is ok with me! And even if I am not quite sure what they are saying I would still not take offense or try to correct the for doing the best that they can! Some things are just not that important! I make plenty of mistakes here myself! I hit the sumbit button sometimes too fast without looking at my own mistakes so who am I to judge!

That is so truth, I have forgotten that somehow, so thanks to both of you for reminding me, I guess it was me paying attention to some mayor mistakes on my last few comments and even my discussions, I should be ok tho, lol.

I agree. I am amazed how many people are on here from different countries! I guess because it was English only, I didn't expect it. But I have a lot of friends on here who are from the Philippines or China or India or Italy or the UK. I haven't met so many people from so many different countries in one place!

Hi ShellyB, I have always said that my brain thinks faster than I type and when on a role I do makes mistakes with both spelling and typing errors by hey that is life eh! I would never correct anyone and in the past when people have me I will say oh well done you spotted the delibrate mistake. In fact I used to spell definitely definatleyuntil someone here pointed it out. I will make an effort to spell correctly now but sometimes I still revert back. Huggles. Ellie :D Great to have you back :)

I have been corected too, I forget how I used to spell beautiful but someone corect me a long time ago and I do not do it anymore, I do understand when people think a word is written as it is pronounced, so I agree with you. I do not correct but I do like it when people correct me unless I ma pmsing that day, then I do not like and can be quite angry about it but only on pmsing days

Yeah, that seems to happen to all of us huh? I do not care that much but feel a little ashamed when that happens to me. I feel that I should slow down and enjoy making the comment.

I haven't been corrected. I guess it's partially because I usually read over my responses after I post t hem. I could really care less if someone else spells wrong, even though I do pick it out and correct it in my mind. As long as I can understand what they wrote, it isn't that big of a deal. I try to watch my spelling most of the time, but I do agree my mind works faster than my typing.

Hi ShellyB, well that's normal, I think. No one can criticize your spelling and grammar in Mylot rules. That's great isn't, anyhow we are still learning. I need to brush up too but how...do you know how can I write better?

Spelling doesn't matter to me as long as you are able to get your message across in a discussion or a response. I try my best everyday to correct my horrid spelling too because it always underlines a mistake I make when typing. I am trying to learn to be a better typer so I don't make as many mistakes in the future.

We eill all makr spelling errors from time to time. We wouldn;t be human if we didn't. A spelling error is not the end of the world. Sometimes a typo just happens. Sometimes we can catch it. Other times they slip by us unnoticed.

Since what people here are writing is not something official or job related spelling is not that vital/ Sometimes I look at discussions and have to work really hard to figure out what the person was trying to say and that can be frustrating but it's not that big of a deal. I think a lot of posters on here and other social networking sites think faster than they can type so typos and bad spelling are the norm, not the unusual. Besides, between sites like mylot and cell phone texting we have become a people used to typos and words that don't always make sense anyways, like LOL or C U LTR

In spelling I am more generous to others than to myself, I believe that I should take my time cspecially since my vision is not that great, I try to be better yet the mistake that I make the most is that I skip words. lol. I know what you mean about texting, it is what's in to misspell in purpose to save time

Software that checks your spelling and grammar is available. You need to search and download the same. Some browsers already have this facility and so there is no reason why you should have wrong spellings or have your stuff filled with grammatical errors!

I could really care less about how well someone else spells or even how i spell. Just as long as it's close enough for you to tell what they mean I think it's all good. It just annoys me when soemeone really messes up and it's just enough so you don't really know what they're saying and you really want to know. I will hit backspace as I'm typing if I see it but after I'm done typing and i see an error I could really care less and hardly ever go back and fix it unless you can't understand what i'm saying.
