Have you ever used the credir card calculator from bankrate.com to calculate how long it will take you to get rid of your credit card balance? I did it a couple of times, with the assumption of how much I would pay per month, and how long it will take me to get rid of balance. Or do it opposite, how many months do you want to get rid of your debt, and they will come up how much you have to pay to make it happen. It is a very useful tool. At least, you know where you are standing at. Simply input some basic information they ask for, then you will get your answer in a blink of second.
