Have you tried VLC media player? It is my favorite media player that plays all media files without the need to download any codecs because they are already built-in. Best of all, it is a free, open source program. It can even play youtube flash video files (the ones with .flv extension) Download the program here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Well you need to update your windows media player codecs in order to play the file on windows media player. This can be done by downloading the latest windows media player codecs from here http://download.cnet.com/Media-Player-Codec-Pack/3000-13632_4-10749065.html I hope this helps you. Happy Mylotting.

if you already tried other media players and downloaded complete codecs, then i guess the problem lies on the file itself, maybe it is corrupted or damage by a virus or other malware.

Hmmm...maybe update or reinstall it. If you can move your music to another place on your computer, that is, so you don't lose your music.

Hi there, try to use winamp every single time you want to play songs. VLC also good to play videos because don't need any codec. But when you need to a song i suggest to use winamp since the views and visualization are amazing. Have a nice day

Yeah, can you understand what's the format of these songs that don't play. We can make some search for the specific codec. I use K-lite Mega codec pack. It has so many codecs, it has never made me a problem. The problem can come from the files. If there is something broken, they won't play.
