Big Baby Glen Davis was instrumental in the game 4 win of the Boston Celtics over the Lakers. He contributed for 18 points off the bench of the total 36 point output of the Celtics bench. It was a physical game but Glen Davis did not backed down. He continues to attack the basket. An underrated player but Glen Davis is the most energized player for he Celtics.

Davis is the spark that every good team needs to put them over the top when they're struggling offensively elsewhere.
Throughout that entire game, the Boston Celtics absolutely dominated in every single aspect of the game except one, the one that matters most - the score!
Outside of Kobe's spurt, the C's played lockdown defense. They rebounded well. They avoided senseless fouls (until the 4th quarter). Their dribble penetration was spectacular. But they missed about 20 layups and wide open, point blank shots!
Ironically, Davis is the guy who usually misses the layups. He goes 100mph always, and always has an opportunity to score at the basket. But he's usually off balance and throws up a wild shot. He really fixed that and came through in a big way.
And I usually don't mind what anyone says post game. Emotions are running wild and folks aren't always in the best frame of mind. But Phil Jackson saying that the Celtics played with desperation and "got away with it" is really giving his Lakers team too much credit. They didn't play a good game at all. The Celtics brutalized them in, again, every aspect but the score.
In retrospect, it's the Lakers that "got away with it" in terms of leading by 2 at the end of the 3rd. Except for Kobe's flop that got Pierce a charge, the Lakers never stopped the Boston penetration ALL NIGHT.
The Lakers need to play better if they expect to win. Boston didn't get away with anything. Jackson and the Lakers are too good to rely on Boston having a poor shooting performance.
Hats off to Big Baby. He came to play.

It was a very well played ballgame for the Celtics, especially their bench players. Glen Davis showed what he got playing with a big heart. The significant thing of that ballgame for Boston is the contribution form Glen Davis. Not only on his points production but on the energy and enthusiasm he gives to the team.

the boston celtics is filled with good players including the big three plus rondo. it acquired wallace before the season. this is an all-star team that can beat any team, anytime. but of course, it is facing the lakers, another all-star team. so it is the supporting bench that can spell the difference in this championship series. glen davis has been raising his playing level. he suits in the celtics' style.

The supporting cast of the Lakers is not really needed just as the Celtics do in terms of consistency. The starter of the Lakers are capable of scoring lots of points and are consistent. The Celtics have a great lineup but inconsistency hunt them that's why they badly need of the contributions form the bench players.
