There is a book series called Mission Earth. It was written by L. Ron Hubbard. It is a series of 10 books, and is fantasy, and a little bit of sci-fi. (as a side note, this series is for ages 18+) If you would like more information on it, go to this link. http://16a259ca.zxxo.net

thanks for the elaborate info on the novel, since there is a confusion about the author for the rest of the 9 parts, how do you feel, was there any difference in the style of narration from the 1st volume and the rest?

I've recently finished Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson, all 5 of them. I find it a very good read. I love Annabeth's character! I hope you find the book interesting. I'm currently reading Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl, and goddesjess is right the book is a very good read. Artemis Fowl is being close to be one of my favorites! :)

hi there sharay. here is a nice read: Artemis Fowl by Eion Colfer. Nicely written. if you like elves, dwarfs and fairies, this might tickle your taste. Their world was presented in a technological point of view. Villain Artemis Fowl is a favorite. Such a pain in the butt. I love him. Also, if you want a fusion of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, you might want to browse through The Inheritance by Christopher Paolini. The first book is Eragon, 2nd is The Eldest and the last installment is Brisingr. i would love to hear feedback on how you find the books. i hope you like them. ;-)

I'd highly recommend the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series by Rick Riordan. It's an urban fantasy series that focuses on Greek Mythology. I'm reading another book by the same author right now (The Red Pyramid) that focuses on Egyptian Mythology. So far, it's REALLY AWESOME. Another great urban fantasy series is the Heir Trilogy by Cinda Williams Chima (Starts with Warrior Heir, second book is Wizard Heir, and the third book is Dragon Heir). I also really enjoyed a YA urban fantasy book called Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse by Kaleb Nation. The sequel to that book is coming out this year. If you like high fantasy (A fantasy that takes place completely in its own made-up world) then you might enjoy Christopher Paloni's Inheritance Cycle (I see several people have already recommended this book, but here's another one in case you still weren't sure), and Stuart Hill's Icemark Chronicles.

The Inkheart Series by Cornelia Funke (can be viewed as more of a childrens' series, but still quite good) City of the Beasts by Isabel Allende The Cassandra Kresnov Trilogy by Joel Shepherd (Crossover, Breakaway, and Killswitch) Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (or ANYTHING by Neil Gaiman) Sunshine by Robin McKinley Grimms' Fairy Tales Anything by T.A. Barron The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien (obviously) A few others that are geared towards a younger/more adolescent audience but are still pretty good are: Modern Tale of Faerie Trilogy by Holly Black (Valiant, Tithe, and Ironside) Artemis Fowl Series by Eoin Colfer Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare (City of Bones, City of Ashes, and City of Glass) and finally, a personal favorite (more of a childrens' book, but good for any age): Ronia the Robber's Daughter by Astrid Lindgren (Author of the Pippi Longstocking series) Good luck and happy reading!
