Now that I think about it, Wimbledon is coming up later this month. Just wanted to know what everyone's thoughts on it are. Do you think Roger Federer and Serena Williams can defend their title? Or do you think Rafa (after winning the French Open) might have a chance? We could consider him to be something of a defending champ too since he didn't play in the tournament last year due to an injury. Or do you think someone else might steal the show?

Was it Serena or Venus who won last year? Sharapova thinks she has a chance to maybe she will do it. Andy Roddick came very close to winning last year and probably would have except for an injury in the last super long set. So maybe he will repeat his effort this year but turn out to be the winner.

It was Serena that won last year. Venus was the year before that. Hopefully Sharapova will do well this time around. She didn't advance very far in the last two slams. As for Roddick, he's going to have a tougher time this year, I think. But I've been waiting for him to win another slam for ages now. He's come so close to a few of them but ultimately falls short.

Well there are so many up and coming players, especially those who have long been in the top 10 and are now making improvements. Its something how many players and knocking the top seeds out of the running. So in answering your questions, I think Serena and Roger will have a tough time defending their championships because, these other player are determined and fearless, they wanna name for themselves and they want the fame, so they really are aiming to knocked the top players and grab these titles. Just look at the French Open, that just passed. Soderling made the final twice and then two women who were never expected to make the final did. Of course Rafa may comeback and take it, but still, the up and coming are aiming for him to, he's not immune to being defeated on court, even though he is my favorite player and I hate to see him lose, he is to hot. Tee hee.

I gotta agree with you there. When I was following the French Open, I was very surprised to see some of the names that were advancing. They were of people I really knew nothing about. And yes, Soderling was a big shocker since he did defeat Federer.
