illegal yet legally illegal

United States

Ok, I have to say this because it just so royally ticks me off. I know many folks are going to complain, but come off it they do allow illegals to come here every day legally. In Miami every day Haitians arrive there illegally, yet its ok, once they get on shore because then they can become legal. Every day Cubans come into the US illegally yet once they step foot on US soil once again they are legal. People from San Salvador the same thing. So why not the Mexicans? WTF is up with that? Think about it. The same thing goes for some of the other countries as well. So does this mean if the Mexicans come across the Gulf of Mexico and come to Miami they are legal? Nope. Why the heck not? This just royally makes me so freaken ticked off. because these folks are the same as any illegal Mexican so why make them legal. And why don't we hear people complaining about them? I think if they are going to make some illegals legal then do it with all of them. Because this is nuts.

What makes them legal when they get here? I am confused.

Is it maybe asylum you are talking about?

Since when do Haitians get Asylum? I know they don't and I know maybe some Cubans do but not all, only those that are leaving the government can get it. On top of all of that Sal Salvadore(spelled wrong I think) people are allowed to do it, as well as El Salvadore citizens, and Brazilians.

I haven't got the slightest idea but it has been that way for years, they can not send them back to there own country. But they can walk into any INS office and get there papers within hours after they come on land. So why don't they do that with the Mexicans? What is the difference? This is why we see many times where boats of Cubans were caught in the gulf, they are most likely flooding i lately with all the people more interested in the oil spill.

I'm a little confused here. I didn't know that people automatically became legal once coming to the country. You must know something that I don't, so I can't really offer any type of opinion about it.

They are legally here if they come into Florida via the gulf of Mexico, and are not caught before they reach the shore, once across the shore line, they can go into any INS and get their papers. They can not send them back for being here illegally. So why don't they allow the Mexicans the same?? It just ticks me off.

Well, if it ticks you off that America just doesn't allow every single person to stay here just for coming here, then we probably differ drastically on this issue. Maybe the Mexicans should instead go to Florida and then everyone will be happy.

Seems to me though, if the laws are that way that either they would allow all illegals that get across the border to become legal, or do none at all, don't you think that would be better?

i am thinking it might have something to do with the governments of the various countries, &/or maybe the environments. I don't remember much about Haiti, but Cuba is under communist rule. Therefore, people from Haiti & Cuba can probably make a claim that if they are sent back to their countries, they'd be murdered by their governments, & can see asylum. I believe it is the same with El Salvador. Mexico is not really a country with a government that oppresses their people. However, if Mexicans decide to use some kind of boat or something to enter the United States through Florida, they can probably get away with it by claiming to be Cubans escaping their tyrannical government. I agree that it's either accept all, or none at all, but i am sort of leaning towards none at all with the economic situation the entire United States is in. I'm remembering back to some time in the quite a few Cubans were accepted into the United States, they ended up finding out that it was not as easy as they had thought. Being that there was hardly any kind of transportation from the United States & Cuba, Cuban refugees were hijacking planes to divert them to Cuba, because they wanted to go back.

Welcome back KK. I hardly ever see you on here, where have you been? I was beginning to think they sent you to another planet. In my opinion, they need to either allow all or none at all. Its just that plain and simple. yet instead they allow some and others none at all. Just as long as they don't hijack the plane I get on it will be fine. Yeah right I hate flying so I guess they can hijack all of them. I wonder if they can Hijack the presidents plane.
