How does selling and buying online business works?

Hello! I want to start selling things and this got me another idea. The thing is here in Romania there are different sites used to sell and buy thing with different many options but I've heard that many jackpots come from sites like E-bay ...And I know nothing about these sites...and they don't do to much of a good work explaining the process of buying and selling through their system. I know Pay -Pal transactions are available but ...how I said ...lack of details... Have you ever bought something from the net ? [You living outside from the US..Europe preferred..] Using which sites? Can you describe the methods used? Is it a difficult process of earning? Buying local...selling global? Can you post some ups and down of this system? Comment however you like on the matter and posting some additional information and advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
