This is the height of our barbecue season, and we always like to try new and different things on our barbecue. One of our favourite ways of cooking chicken is 'Beer Can Chicken' we really love it. Have you tried it? It is so easy and tasty. First of all I'm afraid that you need to drink half a can of beer - I know it's hard but it's the sacrifice you need to make to get this yummy chicken!! You leave half the beer in the can and cut the top off it, add a couple of cloves of garlic and any spices you like and stand it on your barbecue. Rub your chicken with any seasoning mixture that you like then (how can I put this delicately) stuff the can up the chickens a**e!! This cooks in about 1.5 to 2 hours and is really tasty! The reason it works so well is that you are adding a source of moisture to the chicken in the form of beer and that keeps it from drying out. Also the yeast and malt in the beer reacts with the chicken, particularly the skin, making it thin and crispy while the meat stays juicy. If you haven't tried it I really recommend that you do, you won't be sorry!!

Hey there. I have done numerous amount of time. We put some jamaican spice rum on the chicken with some garlic and pepper.. it is so yummy and if you know what you are doing when cooking it, it will taste so yummy. it really does taste pretty good. When chickens go down in price around a dollar a pound or less is when i try to get some chickens to freeze, we usually will do them on the weekends with some friends over and family. It is a long procedure to cook this chicken as you cook it on slow on the grill for about an hour or so.
