It is very difficult to say for sure what another person's motives are, especially in circumstances like this. It was an unfortunate accident that is for sure. Guilt is definitely a possibility for why he chose to do that but so is love ... or perhaps it is a combination of the two. Either way, it is a very sad story. What do you think his motivation was?

Hi purple alabaster: I think are both thinks. He must feel guilty even this wasn't planned, just because this happends in his studio, but he felt guilty because he loves her so there's not an only answer. It was a combination of both things. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day.

Starsailover - I have to agree with you that I think that it was a combination of love and guilt. He made a great sacrifice not only by losing his sight but also by losing his profession that he seemed to love. That kind of sacrifice, in my opinion, would not just be motivated by guilt alone, although I am sure that was part of it.
Cip - I do not think that his sacrifice was that he did not remain with her. Perhaps it is just my optimism and romantic side taking over, but I do not believe that they remained apart forever. I think that perhaps a short adjustment time until she accepted his sacrifice and he learned to deal with not being able to see, but I believe that they eventually got back together. Don't you think so?

cip I think its too too sad but why did they part after all that happen, I mean if she loved him before and he did this for her then why did they part like th at? Am I getting the message that if both people are really gorgeous and he handsome and something bad happens so they are not so gorgeous then love just flies out the window? I cry thinking that when my hubby had colon cancer and had his anatomy all arranged, I did not leave him because he was now not perfect. I think I hated the ending. thats what i think. i am crying and I did not need this as I am already depressed enough.why must people always have to have everything so d ammed beautiful and if something happens they split up. sad tragic really. music was great but it makes my heart ache for two nice young people.

Hi cip: Thanks for sharing with us this video. I think this story is beautiful but sad at the same time. That was a big sacrifice he has done because he loves her but at the same time because he felt guilty for the accident. It's sad to see how things could change so dramatically after an accident.
