The air was hot on her skin but Joanna didn't care. Her hair pulled back in a tight pony tail, sweat dripping down the side of her cheeks, she felt as if the world was being lifted from her shoulders with each pounding step of her feet as they hit the pavement.

From the corner of her eyes, she could see the shadows of the light posts and the tenements. Everything is still. Except for her own shadow that seem to weigh heavily with her footsteps. The silence is disconcerting, as her thoughts wander to the world that was as confusing as it had been. But now. she doesn't care. Why would she. Now she has decided that she is going for her moonlight run. And what had been a moment ago is in the past. Your turn!

Joanna wiggles her toes inside her shoes, takes a deep breath and once again starts to jog. A loud thunderous noise sounds in the distance. Joanna startles, she stops to look around her. In the dark of night a blinding light appears in the alley way of two buildings. Her heart racing, Joanna becomes curious. She starts to wonder over towards the light.

Her heart is pounding as she approaches on tip toes, poised to run again in the opposite direction, yet something inexorable is drawing her towards the spot where she saw the light. As she tiptoes towards the spot, Joanna is trying to get her bearings, working out which buildings she is approaching and what will be her best exit options if she has to make a fast escape. The light has faded to a dull glow now and she is still unable to make out any details even though she is only a hundred yards from it.

Joanna approaches a large garbage can, she crouches behind it and looks towards the light. The glow fading a little more now, she begins to become more curious as to what it is. However, she doesn't want to be seen. Joanna squeezes between the garbage can and the wall to get even closer to the light. A loud sigh escaped from Joanna. She couldn't believe what she saw, in the soft flow of the fading light, was a fairy. A male fairy, he looked to be injured. A wave of interest and concerned was forming deep inside of her. She took in a deep breath and slowly moved closer to the fairy that was laying on the ground in front of her.
