Suggestions for a good wedding present?

Ok, so I need to find a wedding present (giving money or a check is out of the question in this case) to send to a friend who lives in another country and that just got married.
Because the present needs to be sent, there are some limitations:
- the gift can not be too heavy, as the shipping for it would get very expensive that way
- the gift can not be easily breakable
- both the bride and groom should be able to use it, since it is a wedding present
Does anyone have any suggestions? So far I am thinking linen and towels maybe, but it doesn't feel like the perfect gift somehow...

Linen and Towels are a good gift. I have given them as wedding present before and are much appreciated.
Whatever you decide to send as wedding gift, it needs to be something meaningful and something that they will appreciate. Since it is another country, you might want to search for online shop in that country and have it delivered there. That's what I would do if I were you. Postage cost can be very high if it is overseas courier. If you are sending small things, sometimes it cost more to send the item than the actual item itself.
I recommend online shop in your friend's country very strongly. You can choose even a big thing.

That's a very good idea actually, I didn't even think about that!
Glad to hear that linen and towels usually work too, since I haven't made my mind up yet, but your other suggestion is really something I will keep in mind and consider!

Gosh I really dont know what you could send someone to another country that wouldnt cost much as far as shipping goes. Maybe a really nice picture frame. That wouldnt be to much weight but you would have to package it very carefully. Make sure you put insurance on it if thats allowed for packages sent out of the united states. Because if it arrives broken or doesnt get there for whatever reason the post office has to gie you your money back. Its a process though and I dont know how it works really as I've never had a package get lost and I dont ship outside the united states.
