I watched the movie last night before going to bed. It creeped me out and made me cry real hard all at the same time. It actually gave me different emotions, like I was happy when the guy asked Susie Salmon out and she was speechless. :) I was crying really hard last night because of what happened. I just still could not believe that a man would murder up to 7 or 8 young girls. It is just so sad. If I were to have a daughter, I would never let her out of my sight. Susie should have just run.
I am really affected by this beautiful movie.
However, I have heard from some people that the book is still the best. I actually want to read it too. (I might cry hard again)
How about you, guys? Have you watched this movie? This is one of my favorite movies now.

Hmmm... Honestly, I don't see the big hype of things with this movie. I know that it meant to do well and I know many people like it or felt really in-line with it's emotion.
I definitely think that the actor of the criminal did a good job portraying it. But I can't say that I am really touched with the movie or story itself.
I'm sorry but I found it quite dragging. Too many unimportant points which could easily been taken out to make the film shorter and more relevant. Further, I was really disappointed in the purpose of it all (I don't want to be a spoiler for those who'd want to watch it so I won't mention why).
But, story-wise, it's unique. But I wouldn't read nor watch these types of movies for fun.

Hi, labea
I have read the book. I could not put it down and I was crying too.
I think it was really good. Plus the fact that it was such a surprise for me that the one who narrates the story is the victim herself.
I wish I would have the chance to watch the movie too.
Have a nice day!
