I have been writing online for one site and the other for about an year but I never received a single penny. I only bought a domain for my self by the virtual money I earned through writing on a website. So I wonder whether I will receive any real money ever if I continue to write online ?

I'm actually an online writer for two years now and it's really hard at first but after sticking to the system, you'll quickly find yourself earning a decent amount on a consistent basis. I tried a number of content writing sites but I'm now focusing my time into two websites in which I earn nearly 500 dollars a month -- not bad for around four hours of work per day. It's all about effort. Working hard and working smart. If you want, I can send you a couple of invites.

Louie I want to reach your level with regard to you online income. I too write and extra income online but I'm doing this part-time. I hope I'll reach that income someday. As of now my income in my full-time job is I believe satisfactory but the pressure is sometimes annoying me. If my income reaches that level I think I'm good to go. I can resign already and focus on my online stints. Good inspiration from you there.

You can make money online writing. I write for Demand Studios and Break Studios. I make $15 per article on Demand Studios and $8 per article on Break Studios. Demand Studios pays twice a week and Break Studios pays twice a month. You have to have previous writing experience to apply for these sites and you have to submit a resume and an application to get accepted. There is also Associated Content, Helium, Textbroker, Internet Brands some others that I can't think of right now. But yes it is possible to make money online as a writer. :)

I too is just starting out writing and i have picked up some article writing task here on MyLot, which have really made me realize i was made for writing because i never had any of my writing task rejected. Writing and earning a huge income is possible and acheiveable it's just a matter of finding the write place to write, and this have been my greatest problem, i face a major problem based on my country and the other is concerning having to fill tax papers. I am currently searching for sites that i can get writing gigs and which they have to allow me register without asking for so such tax information. So what you have to do is make some more research and if you are a u.s resisdent then Associated Content is your best spot to start and get some recognition on the writing block.

I would say personally that somehow I earn because of my writing skills. I have my own blog site and it's not been there for 1 yr but I already earned hundreds of hundreds dollars about it. But it has a lot of work to do and also you need to spend some of your precious time when you do blogging.l

I also feel that I have got some writing skills as well because I bring good marks in my examinations while I do not give any time to my books. But somehow I don't know why, I have not succeeded online. I think it is because of my greed of earning more money in less time. I once made an account on helium and then I got it cancelled because I violated there copyright policies

This is a great topic to share and I'll be sure to return and read through more often. About.com is a legitimate source to get training and a base salary but not so freelance. Am in the process of compiling information on one page here: http://www.manilatop10.com/writing.html I have made some contacts on sites that I don't use with people that are willing to help. Diversity might be a key to keep in mind until you discover the match that works for you? Eric

I think you are doing a good job to collect all the available opportunities to a single place. That makes it more accessible and more easy to understand. As far as about.com is concerned, i think that to be accepted by them as an employee requires some real talent and devotion in you. Every one cannot be accepted by them and that is why I want to go for some easy comings and I do not want to hang in the difficult ones with no reward in the last

Here's a free ebook with a few tips on how to earn money online as a freelance writer. I've been doing it for a few years and each year my income increases. My online writing is my sole source of income. Here's the link to the book: http://www.nojobformom.com/ebooks/NJFM_Newbie_Freelance_Writing_Motivation.pdf

I've tried many ways to make money online and while there are a lot of ways to do it, for most people, the easiest way to make a decent amount is by writing. There are so many different options for writers online. One can start their own website, blog, write articles for any number of sites or do technical writing just to name a few. There are sites that pay per article or post and some that share site page view revenue with their writers. Try several different ways to see which works the best for you, but as long as you keep writing, you'll make some money. ;-)

Plenty of writing opportunities out there. You have things like SEO copywriting, freelance, sites that pay you for articles, or the simplest ones I enjoy most are ones where you can basicly publish anything of descent work, and recieve royalties for your work. Max
