A good book for any crime/thriller fans out there.

I have read and enjoyed several Harlan Coben’s books, but this latest one I read is, I think, my favourite,I read the full book in one go as I couldn’t put it down!! This book was the stand alone thriller ‘Just One Look’, and it was a cracker!! Most of Coben’s novels tend to concentrate on the story rather than the characterization, but I found many characters in this book fantastic and I found myself quickly involved and emotional towards all the characters. When I recall the characters, the one that springs quickly to mind is the magnificent, disturbing, villain– the petrifying character named Eric Wu who is described by one of the book's characters as being so scary that ... no, I shan’t tell!!. Suffice it to say that this character is one of the most evil characters I've ever read in a novel. Coben uses Wu to full advantage in the story, this man’s strength lies in his ability to find the most vulnerable parts of his victims to mete out intense pain, torture and, finally death. I was hooked from the very beginning; I thought that the first few pages managed to capture my imagination instantly leaving me desperate to know what would happen next. From almost the very beginning of the book, the reader knows exactly what has happened to Jack Lawson, but this doesn’t deter from the gripping story as little by little with a fantastic pace, Coben unweaves the plot and leaves you begging for more. This is a true mystery and thriller; it has a story which leaves the reader guessing right up to the very end. I loved it and would certainly recommend it to you!!
