A blog has its own shortcomings and a static website has its own but the question of the day is that which one of these is going to earn you more money with least amount of effort. I think it depends on the type of content you put in but to specify the question further, i would say that which one is good for a content site about Human Anatomy

Since your subject of content is a little bit for learning and education so you will be needing the content to be a little categorized and systematic. For this purpose having a website will be more suitable as you will have more power of moving contents up and down, giving it a new look and much more which can't be done with blogs. On the other sides, blogs are more suitable to share our day to day happenings and events. As the event or the thing will get older it will have less importance and the post will be pushed down whenever you will post new posts. While in your subject, you will need to place your post about Introduction before any other post. And you can't write the introduction in the last to make it appear. Having your own website will be more beneficial to you. If you can get a good .com domain name and if you will update your website with good and beneficial info then you will also get good ranking in search engines which will help you in getting more traffic and earnings. But all these is not going to happen in a day, and I hope that you have the confidence and you are ready for the hard work which is needed for making it work.

I think static website suits me the best because number one that I cannot update myt content regularly because of time issue. Number two that the content of the website is potentially so huge that it might become very difficult to access some deep parts of the website if I used the common blog structures. I think I should keep going with the static website and when I feel that the content is sufficient on my website to express the quality of the website than I will start a blog to promote my website

Blogs are easier to update regularly. Constantly updating with new content is what keeps you on top of search engines and helps keep visitors coming back to your site. Plus, Blogs build a community, through comments and your commenting on other blogs. They are pretty much design to build a network of viewers and other bloggers, they allow both visitor and owner to communicate which builds a relationship and keeps your guests coming back. A website is static, but much more customisable. There are plenty of things you can do with a website you could never do with a blog. Websites also tend to look more professional than blogs, with better designs and a generally less cluttered appearance. As for your human anatomy website, it depends on how you want it to work. if you have your content and don't plan on adding more regularly, I would go with a website. It's less upkeep, since you create the webpage and then leave it. If, however, you plan on updating regularly with new content then stick with a blog. Each have their own advantages, and only you can decide which is best. Which would you rather do.

Keeping in mind the advantages of having a static site and for the reason that for the content of my website a static page suits more than a blog which needs to be updated regularly and also it requires more time than a static website, so I have gone with a static website. Hope that it suits me

well i think the difference between a blog and a website is thinning now. i think that blogs look like websites now so theres not much of a difference.

Why can't you have both? Twice the exposure...they would be linked to each other. And a static website doesn't take much upkeep. Then you would be able to concentrate on your blog.

If you're planning to make an informative site, make a website. If you plan on updating your site often (such as recent news about anatomy), make a blog. A blog tends to be more casual. A website is a bit more complicated but more organised. You can have different pages about anatomy (the brain, the lungs...). I would recommend a website for your case. If you are looking for a free website hosting service, try yola or weebly. (I prefer weebly)

Since your content is about Human Anatomy, I presume it will be graphic/illustration heavy. In the case, I think you will be better served with a static website.
