I have a yr old lab, who by the way so full of personality, full of intelligence and a great company keeper. Ive noticed she something she does which cracks me up! Sometimes when I am in deep thought such as trying to figure something out or etc. I pace the floor. I began to notice 3 months back my dog watches me for a few paces then joins in & paces back & forth with me. lol once I noticed I stopped in my tracks & she stopped too with a look as to say "Im with you boss" lol. why she does it I cant figure it out, but its too cute! Any thoughts as of you she does it?

Labs are so funny! I have a 5-yr old lab who absolutely loves people. He gets excited every time someone comes to the house that he literally quivers. The problem is that he is big (about 55 kilos) that people are scared of him, which puzzles him. He loves company so much that he can only sleep when there's a human being anywhere, and he will always end up snuggled to people. One of his favorite pastime is to follow me wherever I go around the house. So when I am packing, he would also climb up and down the stairs with me looking as busy as I am. He tries to help me by picking up clothes and I would up freaking out since it would be full of his saliva. And he would look at me like "what? I'm just trying to help."

DOGS , pets mimick or ape everything that it's owner does. If your nervous, hyper, frightened, anything your dog pet reacts the same way, that's how they are. They just want to please in every way.. REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV/ CARE/ TRAIN YOUR DOG / PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

True, I aim to take very good care of my dog. So far she seems to be one of the funniest & personality filled dog I ever had.

Dogs are good at knowing what we're feeling, and if you're in deep thought then your dog is probably picking up on that. I'm sure she doesn't know exactly what your thoughts are, but pacing with you may be her way of helping you work through it. That, or she just thinks it's a fun game you play with her!

Aaawww that is so cute.. she is helping you to concentrate..lol. Dogs are very smart, much smarter than we give them credit for. My mother has a corgi, she has her own mind and will not follow you around unless you have food or treats in your hand. When she is tired and is ready for bed, she will look at you as if saying good night and goes in the room to her bed. I think we choose animals that mimic our personality. My mothers dog is independent just like her.
