I never had a bike ever since. My brother has one before but I never had a dream of riding it alone. My sister tried it many times and many times she was thrown to the ditch. She made it though after experiencing lots of scratches in her legs and arms. The reason I am scared to bike because of accident. Do all ladies here had experience biking, and crashes and things like that? please share.

It is scary to learn but, you have to take the time and practice for a while before you can ride a bike. It is sort of a rite of passage when we are young to fall and get a few injuries while we are learning how to ride. And, you will likely fall sometimes even after you have learned how to ride a bike because, we are clumsy people by nature. I am sure you have fallen while walking before. The same thing applies to riding a bike. That being said, I used to ride my bike pretty fearlessly when I was young but, oddly enough, it is hard for me to ride a bike now as an adult. I don't know why. I just know that, now that I am a little older, I am more fearful of all of my actions. I used to roller skate all the time when I as a kid but, I can't roller skate at all now. I used to climb trees, can't do that now either. It is very frustrating to know that I did all those things without fear when I was a kid but, I have a hard time doing any of them now, at 37 years old.

Hi corjo, I'm so glad I read your response! I used to ride a bike, roller skate too when I was young without fear too! But, as I got older I just couldn't ride or skate anymore! I was so scared of falling and breaking something since I'm pretty good at that!

Hey Opal! LOL! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has grown this weird fear for stuff I used to do nearly fearlessly. What the heck is that about? LOL! Aren't we supposed to grow out of fear as kids? Not get more fearful as adults. Sheesh! LOL!

Even then, congratulations to both of you because you were able to experience it when you were young. I've never been in a roller skate and a bike. Even driving a car? I just learned it 2 years ago but still I am scared to drive on the road now.. haha

I've had all kinds of crashes and scratches from riding a bike, but thats how you learn. You just get up and get back on it, till you get the hang of it. It took me a long time to learn how to ride one, I think I was probably about 12 or 13 before I learned to ride one, and they say once you learn how, you'll never forget. I haven't been on a bike in 20 yrs, so I don't know if I would still know how..haha.

Hi, my dad used to buy me a bike but i never learned just like you i am afraid of accidents and i may fall of the bike. I am not really that adventurous. My sister in the other hand learned biking with out the knowledge of my mom, she just play with her friends and ended up going biking with them so she learned how to do it. I was really scared during my teens. I am so afraid to do new things that is out of my comfort zone, well now I am learning to go out of my comfort zone.

I hope it is not late my friend going out from your comfort zone.. hahaha..I never learned biking alone. I rode with my brother but he was the driver not me. We go to school in a bike when we were young. My parents bought a bike for us to use to school. There were times that we were almost hit by cars on the road. and that makes me nervous to try biking myself. ahahaha
