coming economic crisis?

hoglets - baby hedgehogs - cute hedgehogs - playful and affectionate. And practical too - they used to be classified as insectivores - since changed - forget what they're called now - they are not rodents. Most of all they don't smell!

What ways do you prepare to deal with a personal or economic crisis? What do you guys think of earthships? I love them. I love the idea of being self sufficient. An earthship would allow you to "ride" through a personal or national economic crisis with relative ease. You may need several thousand tires and pop cans to complete it as well as other recycled materials. If you choose well with materials it can be a non toxic home as well. You can live off grid - no utility bills and depedning where you live - the government may pick up part of the tab of buying and installing the equipment to do this. In the states the government wants to help us live green. You can have a greenhouse that can help regulate temperature - as does the earth berming of the home. You can have cute pets like hedgehogs to eat up any bugs. And you have vegetables to eat. You can raise a few chickens for the eggs. Your protected from any storms even if you belive we'll be hit by super storms because of sun flares in the coming years. And you can make a solar cooker too! Some have talapia ponds - run through the gray water system - even protein in your self contained home. There's a fixer upper i want - its been on the market for over a year (hard to get financing likely why) and has been reduced forty thousand to 122,000. If it had owner financing, I'd consider it. Even the small ones are more then this relatively large one. Heck, even land in this area is expensive. Look at the Phoenix and other earthships on these pages: http://www.flickr.com/photos/earthshipkirsten/ You can add some of these cuties: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t64mT-57O54 - yes they're real! Hedgehogs and some slow lemurs - depending where you live to eat insects and some birds. http://www.flickr.com/photos/earthshipkirsten/

I have seen these on tv and I think they are amazing.....I wouldn't mind living in a house that is maintenance free.....heck...just think of the extra money you would have!
