Up to date posts and responses

As I only got here yesterday, Could some old users tell me where I can find the real time discussions,, I seem to be all over the joint,, for example; when I clck on "recent discussions" some of the answers I read are up to 2 days old although the time against the origional topic shows two minutes,, confusing? you bet it is,,

Recent discussion doesn't necessarily mean they were created recently, it just means they are discussions which have most recently recieved a response. As far as I know, you can't really search for discussions according to specific dates.
