Gary Brooks Faulkner, 52 from California was arrested in Pakistan with a pistol, night vision equipment and a sword. he claims to be hunting Bin Laden. He has been in Pakistan seven times and was found in the forest in the Chitral region. Authorities didnt believe him at first. He claims God is with him and he will be successful. you can read more here - http://apnews.myway.com/article/20100615/D9GBL88O0.html There is a $50 million bounty on his head. I am surprised there havent been more reports of individuals hunting him. What do you think? Would you hunt for Bin Laden?

Yeah but I'd start looking at the Bush Household. He is probably having tea and crumpets over there as we speak. If not he is in the studio working on his latest mixtape. I know one thing I sure could use that money...

You probably need an army to hunt him down. I don't think you could ever succeed doing it alone. Knowing that Gary is captured makes me a lot happier that at least he would be safe. And I certainly salute his courage!

I would think a lone person has a better chance for the element of surprise.

But as a lone person, you would be more likely to infiltrate. I guess it depends on if you plan to attack or sneak in and nab him.

You may be right there. But you lack the intelligence and resources of an army. Unless you are already in his camp.

That is a wonderful news and pretty encouraging too... But I trust this fellow began at a wrong point. He will get no help in Pakistan- not even someone to read map. He should begin his search upon the Afgan-Pak Border... The area is called Vajiristan... There are 3 states on the border of Afghanistan, in which these notorious people are ruling and should be hiding there... In any case, it would require a team equipped with the best weapons and equipments for such an adventurous and huge mission. Laden must be guarded by hundreds (he has over a hundred wives already plus there might be his private guards too). I would love to accept such a mission, if I were equipped fully and had an efficient team with me.

Oh man, 8 years!!! Why wasn't he discovered earlier then? There seems to be something about this issue... He can write a book and make millions... ;)

He had been going back and forth for about eight years. It should be interesting to hear how close he may have gotten

laglen, As long as there's a reward for these people like Bin Laden, there will be bounty hunters like Gary Brooks and I am sure he is not the only hunter and I would not be surprise if there are private contract mercenaries as well. U$50million is really one sum no one in this line would overlook or not attempt for it!

"I would be there if I had the means... " you need to be capable also. You are not dealing with a lone criminal here but the whole organization network.

I would love to be involved in capturing Bid Laden however, I would be to scared to do this unless with a group of people. I don't understand why this man was arrested though. I'm also surprised that there is not alot more people out there looking for him or maybe its just not publishized.

He was arrested I think because he ditched his police escort. Then there were the weapons....

Personally, I think this guy is a bit off...God is with him? I'm betting there are a few bounty hunters we're just not hearing about. Would I personally hunt for Bin Laden...no...too old to climb rocks... Will we get Bin Laden...yes...and in my lifetime.

If I had the time, I would be there...... Right after 9/11, I was scheduled to go to Europe. I thought if my trip got canceled, I would swim over and take him out! I got to take my trip

I would not hunt for Bin Laden. I, too, am surprised that more individuals who are far more adventureous than I, have not done so since our government is now in the hands of a Bin Laden lover. I don't know that Faulkner should have been arrested for trying to help.

I think his arrest is more about slipping his escort and maybe the weapons. I am not sure though...
