Sanctions for Cuba?

Cuba has been included in a list created (updated) by Obama's Administration, of 13 countries that are failing to fight human and child trafficking (guess kids arent human?). Other countries on the list include - big surprise - Iran and North Korea. Being on Barry's list could lead to possible sanctions by the US. "gasp" Cuba has held it's seat on the list of worst human traffic offenders since 2003. They are also on the "lets support terrorism" list. Cuba says the list and consequential sanctions are merely a political ploy to excuse its cruel blockade. Is the US being a meanie or do you think Cuba deserves sanctions? I thought Obama was fixing that...

no, they are smggling them in. This is a big problem with Mexico too. They promise to bring them for a set amount of money. Then when they get them here, they are enslaved, treated very badly....

Oh silly me, I didnt know that. For some reason, I thought "slavery" has gone a long time ago. Wait a minute....I saw a documentary the other day....they were talking about Mexicans working in meat packing companies. How the owners knew they were illegal and they had an "understanding" with the law to come and get some of them right before payday!! So that would be what you're talking about now, but as far as I could understand it, the ones doing the trafficking arent Mexicans!!....and I wouldnt call that "slavery", but obviously you're talking about something else entirely!!

Of course Cuba and any nation/person who engages in human trafficking deserves the most stringent of sanctions. However, since I don't believe a word Barry Obama says, I don't think any sanctions will really be imposed; every so often he throws us a pretend bone to make it look like he cares and that his "administration" of thugs will actually do something right. Just another political ploy. The abomination of human trafficking is here in America big time. I have just seen some pictures of Mexicans here in a "drop house" in CA. The coyotes who have been paid money to smuggle them into America then hold them for further ransom, torture and rape them, just for good measure, and who knows what else. Just another good reason for Mexicans to realize that becoming an "illegal alien" is just another arm of human trafficking and another dance with the devil. Oh, yeah, and don't forget Barry, the illegal alien, doesn't care about them and how they get here and are treated; he just wants lots of illegals here, no matter what suffering they endure, so he can become dictator.

So Barry needs to place sanctions on the US before throwing his stones at cuba? That makes sense to me.

I am happy that Americans will finally be allowed to go to Cuba. I love Cuban food and I and my mom have always wondered what it would be like to travel there. Canadians can go, but not us...Can't wait2go there. It's like Florida, but before the New Yorkers ruined it.

Cuba deserves all the sanctions it gets, but little good do they do. Then we have Congressmen and women, celebrities, and businessmen traveling to Cuba, so what the heck does it mean? Sanctions? We're da*mn inconsistent in our policy is what it means... And Obama fix it?

White House officials said the decision to lift travel and spending restrictions on Americans with family on the island will provide new support for the opponents of Raúl and Fidel Castro's government. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/04/13/AR2009041302965.html
