Do you add someone just because one or two friends are common ?

There are many people who just wanna increase the number of friends in their fb friends list... The just cant stop themselves ffrom adding ALL the people that come in the "friend suggestions" column just to increase their number of friends. I don't understand how people have 800s and 900s of friends. Do you even remember the names of 800 people ?
So are you one of those ? Do you go on adding people just because they are addable (is there any such word ?) ? Don't be shy... Lemme tell you, I was one of them, but then i realized that I couldnt find my real friends so I deleted all the unknown guys :P

i don really search for the common characters and all... but i'll visit their profile and then respond to them... i always love to have lots of friends anywhere and everywhere... i do that in mylot too

yeah, mylot's a fine place to meet people, we (atleast I) hardly know any people here... So its fun adding people whom you find interesting. but a place like facebook, has all types of users.. Some of them are just insane people who post rude remarks on private conversations,just hate such people...
If a person is genuinely good and friendly (like you) and looking for friends online, then I'll add...

I never added people whom I don't know. Though I have a few people whom I know but never have been their acquaintances. So far, I have 830 friends on the list and all of them were people from my past. Classmates in grade school, high school, college, people I know from camps, fraternity and sorority, previous work and mostly from my home town.

well i do get a lot of friend requests whom i don't know of and which i have common friends with the person.. it really depends if i really know the person but if i sense that the person trying to add me is just using me to spy on the happenings i am having recently then i would just leave the request there hanging. i don't have any intention of adding the person it is just that i like seeing on the upper right tab of the page having 4 friend request or more written on it. ahahha!

No, I never do that, and I don't see the point of having too many friends, if you have a really insane amount of friends everyone will realize that they are not really your friends anyway. (like who knows 2000 people personally?)
I also don't accept friend requests from people I do not know. I just don't see the point of it, I use Facebook to keep in touch with my actual friends, not for anything else.

Great ! But there are insane people out there. Trying to add as many people as there are on the internet :P
Well when they finally get their senses back, there profile is either already hacked or they just delete their profile themselves and make a new profile :P

Well my purpose for using facebook is so I can let all my friends who actually know me for real to know what I was up to. And I don't want an unknown "friend" to know what I do (especially when they also know where I am). Just being careful :-)
I don't add random even when it appears at the friend's friend suggestion column. I have my favourite games on facebook that is requiring me to remember all my friend's name too to get a bonus point :-)

There are people who add unknown people for increasing their mafia size and adding more farmville neighbors and god knows for what twisted reasons !
And about Hot girls, hey ! who can resist em ? and that too she'z sending a friend request herself ! :P
