Organ donation - approve or disapprove?

I think it's a great idea and am a registered donor, but I know people who think it's morbid. i have a friend who said he would refuse a blood transfusion even if it would save his life - not for any religious reason , but just becoause he doesn't like the idea. What do you think?

It's a good idea.
Also, if your friend is in the position where he needs a blood transfusion, I doubt that he will be awake to tell someone that he doesn't want it. The hospital would apply implied consent to him, and he would get it.

I think its great idea that we can save someone else's life. I find nothing wrong with that.

I approve, and am a donor. Sounds like your friend has some kind of weird phobia.
