should i pay for this

i was in a competition for the month of May where i was given 20 tickets to sell to persons that i would like to come this competition to support me,i gave some of these ticket to my public relatioins officer and she sold six i sold two so thats eight tickets overall. well i gave the lady who gave me the tickets the balance and she said that it was correct but because i did not give back to her the left over tickets, i was to pay for them so i went back searched and found six tickets and gave them to her i told that the rest of the tickets were not paid for theses people did not show up for competiton. she insist that i pay for these tickets that were not used. tell me what should i do?

Unsold tickets need to be returned and if you have sold the tickets and those who you sold to did not pay you then you should collect the amount from them. If this does not happen then you will have to pay for tickets which have not been returned.
